Syed Kamall, the health minister, has expressed his support for amendments proposed by Baroness Finlay of Llandaff in the Health and Care Bill. The amendments, backed by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), call for the inclusion of community rehabilitation plans and leads in every integrated care system (ICS).
Kamall emphasized the importance of community rehabilitation services and stated that ICSs should be required to provide and improve access to such services. The CSP believes that ensuring equitable access to community rehabilitation will address health inequities and enable patients to receive the necessary treatment for their recovery and well-being.
