The tech website Business Cloud recently reported a fascinating development that could be a boon to London commuters.

A new start-up called Reeclaim (correct) is using sophisticated technology to scan a commuter’s tube and train journeys on Transport for London’s network – and then determine if they are due a refund.

If so, it submits a refund request to Transport for London (TfL) on behalf of the passenger, who will then be credited the full amount if the claim is approved.

Not only could this save delayed customers a lot of grief in filing their appeals, the hope is it will put pressure on TfL to cut delays and get its services running to time.

Something all Londoners would applaud.
