I am often invited to attend events and give updates to representatives of businesses, charities and other public bodies on the current stages of Brexit and the implications.
Recently, I wrote a piece for Portland Communications for their weekly “Brexit Briefing”.
In the piece, I wanted to strip away the arguments for and against a ‘hard’ or ‘soft’ Brexit. It’s just not that simple. There is much more to consider. I set out what would be my six negotiation points in the upcoming discussions.
Negotiations need to have a clear scheduled approach, ensuring our priorities are determined before we enter the talks with the EU. We need to secure the best possible deal for the UK and to do this, details of the deal need to be clear before starting negotiations.
