I have been contacted by a constituent who is interested in knowing how the EU budget for aid money is being spent in the Sudan.
1. Will the Commission explain which EU budget line and EU funds are used to provide aid for the Sudan, and which Commission DGs and agencies are responsible for the distribution, evaluation and monitoring of the allocation and use of these funds?
2. What mechanisms are used for the distribution of EU aid on the ground in Sudan? Who is responsible for this in the Sudan, and who is responsible for monitoring this from the EU?
3. Which institutions both private and public have received funding?
