“Nearly ready for fundraising”
Dear all,
I just wanted to update you on progress on the Friendly Lending platform. A lot has been going on!
We are excited to be working with a website developer who is getting our online presence underway. We’re aiming to do this by Easter or shortly after. Once the website is live we will be able to start fundraising in earnest.
Another important part of the project is to get the branding spot on. As I’m sure you know, getting the right look can have a significant impact on whether people stay on your website or click away. First impressions count and we want people to be grabbed instantly and engaged.
We are also continuing to work on the “pitch document”. This document will explain in detailed, clear terms what Friendly Lending is all about. I’m looking forward to getting this across to you as soon as it’s ready.
Finally, I think one of the most fascinating parts of the past few weeks has been talking to people who have ideas for potential projects which Friendly Lending could support. The whole point of Friendly Lending is to give people in poverty a hand up (not hand out) to lift them out of their situation through the power of business. We’re really excited about the prospect of delivering on that.
Our fundraising strategy will begin then after Easter and I hope you will be able to join me for that.
