May I draw your readers attention to the particular menace of cyber bullying.

New technology continues to bring us so many blessings and new opportunities for growth, progress and pleasure – but like most advances they can also have an ugly side. London is one of the most technologically advanced cities of the world.

So we see more than most of both good and bad. As a parent I know we have to be constantly vigilant against the dangers to our children – and these days cyber bullying is one of those threats. If our children have not been bullied themselves via tablet or phone, they probably know someone who has.

To their credit the technology firms are starting to respond to the problem, for example with filters which block offensive comments before they are even sent. However, worried parents must continue to make their concerns known to the sector and the politicians to make sure the issue is not sidelined, or swept under the carpet.
