In December 2024, Syed Kamall joined local residents at a heartwarming intergenerational music event hosted by the Guildford Hub and Intergenerational Music Making (IMM). Held at the Guildford United Reformed Church in the lead-up to Christmas, the event brought together children, young adults, and older generations to share in music and community spirit. Kamall praised the initiative as “truly inspiring,” commending its ability to foster connection, inclusion, and well-being across all ages.
IMM is a national charity focused on reducing loneliness and improving mental and emotional health through creative collaboration. The Guildford Hub, one of IMM’s flagship programmes, has been uniting diverse groups through music since 2019 and continues to serve as a model for inclusive community engagement.
