“I am concerned about the decision today, not because it asks for Parliament to scrutinise what is going on but because of the motivation behind it.

There are sadly some people still refusing to accept the verdict of the British people on June 23rd.

17.4 million people voted to leave the EU. It cannot be for 650 MPs to overturn the clearly stated democratic will of the British people.

Of course parliament should play its role in scrutinising the process but it is also now down to everyone, whether they voted to remain or leave, to work on building the best future for our country outside of the EU.

There is still a long way to go in this story, especially since the government will now appeal.”
