Save the date 10am 17th November for the Engage London 2018 conference (#EngageLdn18) with Conservative Progress and the London Conservatives.
Last year I organised a similar event which brought together Conservative party members from across our city’s diverse communities in order to ask them why the Conservative Party was struggling to reach more people.
The event produced some great ideas which could be used in our campaigning.
With the election of our candidate Shaun Bailey for the London Mayoral race, I believe that now is the time for us to start looking more deeply at what all of us as individuals need to do to help win back this city.
Doing what we have always done is not going to work anymore so we need to try new techniques and ideas.
This year I will be expanding the event to include people not just from different ethnic backgrounds but from any background which is under-represented in our party. By doing so we can learn what we need to do to reach out and build a new relationship.
As we know, there is no one single type of “Londoner”. London is one big family made up of many different members. If we want to reach beyond those who traditionally join us, we need to listen to them all.
The event gets underway 10am 17th November at a Central London location (to be announced nearer the time) for 3 hours of practical ideas and discussions.
I hope you can join us.
